NEW CAPRI

Lets get one thing straight to begin with, the MK3 capri is the coolest looking car ever produced by the human race, it looked like it was doing a ton when it was standing still, it was sold in engine sizes ranging from the teenager-friendly 1.3, right up to the monstrous 3.1, so it was truly a car for anyone..as long as they wanted to intimidate old grannies on the pedestrian crossing that is. Oh and its exposure in "The professionals" and "Minder" certianly helped the sales.

So, when Ford decided to create a MKIV capri to continue this legend, what did they give us? Some awesome, mean-looking sports car for the masses? Nope, they chuck this at us:

aargh!

This thing looks like a stretched, deformed version of the new mondeo with oversized wheels, it reminds me of one of those "wickedart" cars come to life, but not as cool, i dont know what the idiots that came up with this lump where thinking, but it cant have been anything to do with car design, Also from the sounds of things the smallest engine you'll be able to get in it will be a 2-litre, meaning you'll have to be about 30 before you can insure it, and by the time people are 30 they'll probably want something a bit more practical, and with more doors...

There is one good thing though, this abomination isnt actually being produced yet, so with any luck the design will have been changed to something closer to the 70's capris, or they'll maybe just give up on the idea all together, which would probably not be a bad thing!
