The campaign for real cars is an idea i thought up quite a while ago, but i've only just got around to making the webpage. This is dedicated to all fans of Classic and cool cars, who are fed up of the world being swamped with bland, people-carrier shaped buzz boxes with boring plastic interiors, pointless "equipment" you never use, or hate having forced upon you (anyone else miss the 'feel' of parking without power steering?, sure its more effort, but isnt there an obesity epidemic anyway?). and who says we want cars where you can't hear the engine, cars which run as silent as electric all the time (ever wonder why so many tasteless car modifiers put on those huge silver dustbins where the exhausts used to be? Thats the only way to get a good sound!), who says we couldnt live without an onboard computer telling us the tyre pressures as we drive, who says we dont like putting a key in under the steering wheel and turning it ("If microsoft made a car, you would stop by pressing the start button" used to be a joke, tell that to owners of certian Renaults, who have to press the brake to start it!). And who said we wanted gears that are stupidly close together, and an accelerator that is little more than an on/off switch?. This is the place where you will be able to have your say! (once i set up a forum or guesbook anyway!) |
